Origami: How to fold “Paku Paku” (a Moving Mouth Origami)

I’ll show you how to fold origami which you can play,

putting your fingers in, opening and closing. ♪

I bet many people have folded the staple “Paku Paku” (a Moving Mouth Origami)

at least once when they are little.

I’m sure that you will enjoy a lot if you fold it and play it with your friends!

How to fold “Paku Paku”1   Staple “Paku Paku”

１．First, fold it in half.

２．Again, fold it in half.

３．Open it up all the way and fold four parts to the middle.

４．Turn it over and fold four parts to the middle again.

５．Fold it in half.

６．Put your four fingers to each bag part.

７．The back will be like the picture below, and it’s done!

How to fold “Paku Paku”2   A Yelping Fox

１．First, fold it in half.

２．Again, fold it in half.

３．Fold it up and fold both sides to the crease that you made in No.2.

４．Open the bag parts to make two houses’ shapes.

５．Fold both sides behind toward the black arrows along the black lines.

６．Fold the only one top layer

of the left bottom part up toward the black arrow along the black line.

７．Fold the right side of the top layer up, like the picture below.

８．Fold it behind along the black line.

９．Fold the second layer behind along the base.

１０．Put your fingers to the bag parts and open it, and it’s done!

１１．Insert your fingers and move it like “Paku Paku”!

How to fold “Paku Paku”3   A Blinking Eye

１．Fold it in half.

２．Again, fold it in half.

３．Open it up all the way and fold both sides to the middle.

４．Put them back and fold both sides to the crease that you made in No.3.

５．Fold both sides as if you roll them.

６．Draw a black ball in the middle, like the picture below.

７．Fold both sides to the middle crease.

８．Turn it over and fold both sides to the middle.

９．Fold four parts along each black line and put them back.

１０．Fold each corner inside, like the picture below.

１１．Flip it over, and it’s done!

Let’s move “Paku Paku” and a Yelping Fox putting your fingers in the bag parts,

opening and closing, like “Paku Paku”.★

Isn’t that fox cute too?  It looks like as if we could hear it yelping, doesn’t it?

If you write numbers or pictures inside of “Paku Paku”,

you can enjoy it as a fortune-teller play too!

If you hold the both sides of the blinking eye and move them,

it will be like a blinking eye.

It’s cool, right?

You could also cut the cartridge paper round and put it on it too.❤
