Origami: How to fold a Crown

we think of a crown on top of the head, don’t we?

 

Let’s make such a crown with origami paper!

You can actually put it on your head too when it’s completed!

How to fold a Crown Ver.1

 

Get four sheets of 15cm×15cm-size origami paper ready.

We put them together at the end, to make a crown!

 

If you use more paper, you can adjust the size for a bigger one too.

 

1. Fold it in half twice along the dotted lines to make creases.

2. Fold each corner to the middle along the dotted lines.

3. Open it up.

4. Fold each corner along the dotted lines.

5. Fold each corner along the dotted lines.

6. Fold it in half along the dotted line.

7. Change the direction and…

8. Fold the top layer down along the dotted line.

9. One part is done!

10. You can make this part as many as you want. This time,

I made four parts.

11. Put each part together.

Insert one corner into another corner.

12. Repeat the same thing.

13. After putting all the parts together,

insert the end to the other end to make a loop.

14. It became a palm-size crown!

You can use either the same colored origami paper or the different colored ones.

It’ll be pretty!

You can also use ones with colors on both sides as well so it will be more colorful!

 

Adjust the number of parts according to your head size!

 

How to fold a Crown Ver.2

 

For this one, we put each part together like the one of Ver.1.

Since it’s easy to make, you might enjoy making it with your child!

 

1. Fold it in half twice along the dotted lines to make creases.

2. Fold the right side to the middle along the dotted line.

3. Fold each corner along the dotted lines.

4. Fold it in half along the dotted line.

5. Fold the right bottom corner up along the dotted line.

6. Fold the left corner to the right along the dotted line.

7. One part is done!

8. You can make this part as many as you want to make.

This time, I made six parts.

9. Put each part together. Insert each corner into another part.

10. Repeat this and put everything together.

11. Insert the last end to another end to make a loop.

After putting everything together,

you might want to put them with glue or tape so that

you can easily put it on without breaking it!
