Origami: How to fold a Frog

Now it’s a season when we can hear some insects singing outside.
Then I saw a creature came out from the dark!!!!!!
“Aughhhhhhh!!!” I screamed, and it was just a frog.★
It scared me, since it just jumped out of nowhere.
So today, let’s fold a hopping frog.♪

(1) How to fold a Frog
1 Fold it in half.
2 Fold it in half again.
3 Open it up all the way and cut it in half. We’ll use the half part.
4 Fold the top part down to the middle crease.
5 Put it back and make three creases, like red lines shown in the picture below.
6 Fold it inside along the creases that you made, like the picture below.
7 Fold the bottom part up in half, like the picture below.
8 Fold both sides to the middle line without folding the top triangle part,
like the picture below.
9 Fold the bottom part up to the base of the top triangle, like the picture below.
10 Fold both corners to make triangles and make creases, like the picture below.
11 Open it along the creases, like the picture below.
12 Fold both bottom triangles like the picture below.
13 Fold both top parts up, like the picture below.
14 Fold both bottom triangles along the creases, like the picture below.
15 Fold it in half.
16 Fold it back, leaving about 1mm at the bottom, like the picture below.
17 Flip it over, and it’s done!
Make your own frog, drawing eyes, putting a ribbon,
or even drawing some patterns on it.♪
By the way, it hops when we push the back of the frog with a finger.
Let’s try it out.
(2) How to fold a Frog (Three dimension type)
1 Fold it in half.
2 Fold it in half again.
3 Open the bag part and fold it to make a square.
Do the same thing for the other side too.
4 Fold both sides to the middle crease.
Do the same thing for the other side too.
5 Open it up and fold it along the creases, like the picture below.
Do the same thing for the other side too.
6 Put one layer to the next side, and do the same thing for the other side too,
like the picture below.
7 Fold the bottom part behind, like the picture below.
8 Fold the part that you folded in No.7 again, like the picture below.
9 Cut only one layer of the top triangle to the suitable length.
This part will be the arm’s part of the frog,
so try to have a good balance when you cut it.
10 Fold both sides so that they will be the same shapes.
11 Fold the part that you folded in No.10 again.
12 Fold the other layer on the top side down, like the picture below.
13 Flip it over, and it’s done!
The hardest part is the legs’ part of the frog.
Even I was lost, not knowing which way I should fold.
I folded the opposite way so many times…
But you know what? You can fix it since it is origami paper.
If you folded to the opposite way, just fix it when it’s done. Lol♥
