How to fold a Ninja Ver.3

For this origami,

we need two sheets of origami paper (15cm × 15cm) for a face

and a hood and two sheets of origami paper (1/4 size of 15cm × 15cm)

for a costume, hands and feet.

Pick one color of origami paper for a hood

and a costume and pick a different color for a face, hands and feet.

There are many more procedures than Ver1 and 2.

Since we overlap two sheets of origami paper and fold them together,

you might need a little power to fold it.

1. We will make a fact first.

Get two sheets of origami paper (15cm × 15cm) ready.

image030

2. Put them together so that we can see colored sides from both sides.

You can use one both-side-colored origami paper instead

of two sheets of origami paper too.

image031

3. Fold it in half and make a crease.

Fold both sides to the crease along the dotted lines.

image032

4. Open it up.

image033

5. Fold both sides to the creases that you made.

image034

6. Fold them again along the dotted lines.

image035

7. Fold it in half along the dotted line and make a crease.

image036

8. Fold it along the dotted line to the crease that you made and make a crease.

image037

9. Fold it along the dotted line to the crease that you made in No.8.

image038

10. Open it up and…

image039

11. fold it, opening both corners.

image040

12. Fold the other side along the dotted line to the middle crease.

image041

13. Fold it to the middle crease, opening both corners of the arrows.

image042

14. Turn it over.

image043

15. Fold both corners to the middle crease.

image044

16. Fold it along the dotted line. (a valley fold)

image045

17. Fold both corners along the dotted lines.

image046

18. Fold them along the dotted lines.

image047

19. Insert the big triangles into the small triangles.

image048

image049

20. Fold the corner along the dotted line.

image050

21. Turn it over and…

image051

22. change the direction.  Draw a face and…

image052

23. the face is done!

image053

24. Next, we will make a body.

Get two sheets of origami paper (7.5cm × 7.5cm) ready.

image054

25. Put them together like you did when you made a face.

image055

26. Put it with the color of the costume facing up.

Fold it in half along the dotted line.

image056

27. Fold both sides to the middle crease along the dotted lines and make creases.

image057

28. Fold it in half along the dotted line and make a crease.

image058

29. Fold both sides to the crease along the dotted lines and make creases.

image059

30. Fold both top and bottom to the creases that you made.

image060

31. Fold both sides to the creases along the dotted lines.

image061

32. Open the corners and fold them again as picture No.33 shows.

image062

image063

33. Fold the top corners up as picture No.34 shows.

image064

34. Turn it over.

image065

35. Fold them along the dotted lines.

image066

36. Fold them along the dotted lines.

image067

37. Pull the top corners toward outside.

image068

image069

38. Pull the bottom corners toward outside too.

image070

image071

39. Then fold them toward the bottom.

image072

image073

41. draw a belt or collar…

image074

42. And the body is done!

image075

43. Put the face and the body together and it’s done!

image076

You can play dolls using this too!
