Origami: How to fold a Fried egg

A fried egg is the best and easy to make for the busy morning isn’t?

 

Do you like a half-boiled egg with a melting yolk?

I’ll show you two pattern of folding fried eggs.

How to fold a fried egg Ver.1

 

It’s easy to fold.

Get the scissors ready too!

 

If any children fold it, please cut the cutting part for them.

 

1. Fold it in half.

2. Fold it in half again.

3. Cut the corner which has four sheets along the red line with scissors.

4. After you cut it, open it up all the way.

5. Fold all corners to the middle.

6. We see the yellow, right?  Turn it over.

7. Fold all the corners along the dotted lines.

8. Fold all the corners along the dotted lines again.

9. Turn it over and

10. it’s done!

The shape of the yolk differs depending on how you cut.

Let’s play house with them.

How to fold a fried egg Ver.2

 

It might be a little harder compared to the one of Ver.1.

Fold it, adjusting the yellow part well.

 

1. Divide it into three equal parts and make creases along the dotted lines.

2. Open it up all the way and fold it at the 1/3 line. (a valley fold)

3. Fold the corner up along the dotted line.

4. Fold the bottom corner up along the dotted line.

5. Fold the corner down along the dotted line.

6. Fold each corner behind along the dotted lines.

7. Fold the left part along the dotted line. (a valley fold)

8. Fold the corner to the left so that the yellow can be seen.

9.Fold it again along the dotted line. (a valley fold)

10. Fold the other side along the dotted line too.

11. Fold the corner along the dotted line. (a valley fold)

12. And fold it along the dotted line again.

13. The yolk is done!  Fold both sides behind along the dotted lines.

 14. Fold all the corners behind too.

The fatty yolk looks tasty, doesn’t it?

If you put the round-cut-red origami paper under the fried egg,

it will be a ham & egg too!

Put some vegetables such as lettuce and tomatoes, and enjoy your meal.
