How to fold a tuxedo (a jacket) Ver.1
This is an easy one. If you change the color, it will be a suit too.♪
1. Get a sheet of origami ready.
Fold it in half twice and make two creases like the picture below.
2. Fold the top part behind along the dotted line.
3. Fold both sides to the middle.
4. Fold both sides along the dotted lines to make creases.
5. Fold both corners up along the dotted lines.
6. Turn it over.
7. Fold both sides along the dotted line. (a valley fold)
8. Fold it in half.
Make sure that you fold it, opening the crease of the top half.
9. Turn it over.
10. And it’s done!
Draw a bow or a tie on the collar part!★
Even though it was easy to fold,
the collar or sleeves are just like real ones, right?♪
How to fold a tuxedo (a pair of slacks) Ver.2
We want to make a pair of slacks too as a set, right?
This is even easier!★
1. Get a sheet of origami paper which is the same color as the jacket ready.
Fold it in half twice to make two creases, along the dotted lines.
2.Fold both sides to the middle.
3. Fold both sides to the middle along the dotted lines, as picture No.4 shows.
4. Fold both sides behind along the dotted lines, as picture No.5 shows.
5. Fold it behind along the dotted line.
6. And it’s done!
You can check the jacket and keep a good balance
for the length or thickness of the sleeves.♪
How to fold a tuxedo (a jacket) Ver.3
I’ll show you how to fold another jacket.
We can make a jacket with a tie, using only one sheet of origami.♪
It’s a little complicated and has a lot of procedures,
but if you complete it, it will be high in quality too.★
1. Get a sheet of origami paper ready.
Fold it in half twice to make two creases along the dotted lines.
2. Turn it over.
3. Fold it in half twice and make creases along the dotted lines.
Fold one corner to the middle.
4. Fold it behind in half.
5. Fold it in half again.
6. We see a white square.
Open the bag part and fold it, as picture No.7 shows.
7. Fold it the same way for the other side too.
8. Open the white triangle and fold it as picture No.9 shows.
9. Fold both sides along the dotted lines. (a valley fold)
10. Open it up and fold it back.
11. Open the white part.
12. Fold it along the dotted lines. (a valley fold and a mountain fold)
13. It will be like the picture below.
14. Open the bag part and fold it, as picture No. 15 shows.
15. Fold it along the dotted lines.
16. Open it up and fold it so that you cover white part to outside.
17. Make a crease.
18. Turn over one layer.
19. Fold the black triangle back.
20. Fold it the same way for the other side too.
21. Fold the top part outside, and the bottom part inside.
22. Fold it the same way for the other side too.
23. After you fold it, turn it over.
24. Fold it along the crease that you made.
25. Here is a neck tie! Fold it along the dotted line again. (a valley fold)
26. Turn it over.
27. Open the bag part and fold it.
28. Fold both sides along the dotted lines. (a valley fold)
29. Turn it over again.
30. Open it up.
31. Open the bag part and fold it.
32.Turn it over.
33. Fold the top corner down, along the dotted line.
34. Fold it along the dotted line. It will be a sleeve part.
Adjust the width, checking the balance from the front.
35. Fold it the same way for the other side.
36. Fold it along the dotted line. (a valley fold)
37. Flip it over, and
38. Finally it’s done!!
