Origami: How to fold a Hat

Do you usually wear a hat?

How to fold a Hat 1   A Pointed Hat

１．Fold it in half.

２．Fold the left side to the right along the dotted line (at about 1/3 of the triangle).

３．Fold the right side to the left along the dotted line.

４．Fold the triangle parts up along the dotted line.

５．And it’s done!

How to fold a Hat 2   A Straw Hat

１．Fold it in half.

２．Fold the bottom part up along the dotted line, and turn it over.

３．Fold them along the dotted lines and open the bag parts,

like picture No.4.

４．Fold three parts inside along the dotted lines.

５．Flip it over, put a line with magic marker or tape, and it’s done!

How to fold a Hat 3   A Witch’s Hat

１．Fold it in half, make a crease along the black line and put it back.

Fold both sides to the middle along the dotted lines, like picture No.2.

２．Fold the bottom tringle up along the dotted line

and insert it into the slit, like picture No.3.

３．Fold the bottom part up along the black line.

４．Fold it up again.

５．And it’s done!

If you use bigger paper when you make a pointed hat,

you can actually put it on.

Also, they will be like party hats

if you use wrapping paper with pretty patterns.
