Origami: How to fold some Cosmetics

I’ll show you how to fold three kinds of cosmetics,

‘nail polish’, ‘lip stick’, and ‘foundation’,

which are representative for girls’ cosmetics.★

Since these cosmetics origami look so cute,

we get excited, just having them.

I bet all the girls will be happy if they get them as letters too!

How to fold some Cosmetics 1   Nail Polish

１．First, fold it in half.

２．Fold it in half again to make a square.

３．Open it all the way and fold both sides to the middle crease that you made.

４．Fold it along the black lines shown in the picture below, like a staircase.

５．Change the direction, like the picture below.

６．Fold both sides to the middle crease, and fold the bag parts of each side,

like the picture below.

７．Fold both corners down along the black lines shown in the picture below.

８．Fold the bottom part up along the black line shown in the picture below.

９．Change the direction, like the picture below.

１０．Flip it over.

１１．Put masking tape on the top part and draw some patterns, and it’s done!

How to fold some Cosmetics 2   Lip Stick

１．First, get ready for the origami paper cut in half.

２．Cut about 5mm from the edge with scissors,

along the black line shown in the picture below.

３．Fold it in half.

４．Open it up and fold both corners to the crease you made, like the picture below.

５．Turn it over and fold it up along the black line shown in the picture below.

６．Fold it toward the left side, along the black line shown in the picture below.

７．Turn it over, and fold it toward the left side,

along the black line shown in the picture below.

８．Change the direction and fold both sides to the middle line, like the picture below.

９．Turn it over, and it will be like the picture below.

１０．Fold both sides to the middle crease.

１１．Insert one side into the other side’s bag part,

toward the arrow shown in the picture below.

１２．Adjust well, and it’s done!

How to fold some Cosmetics 3   Foundation

１．Fold it in half.

２．Again, fold it in half.

３．Open it up, and fold both sides inside along the black lines shown

in the picture below.

４．It will be like the picture below.

５．Open it up, and fold the other both sides along the black lines shown

in the picture below.

６．It will be like the picture below.

７．Open it up all the way again.

８．Fold it along the creases you made, like the picture below.

９．Get a sheet of silver paper, cut it in half.

１０．Insert it into the corner, like the picture below.

１１． Fold the rest of the sides along the creases that you made,

like the picture below.

１２．Fold both sides to the middle crease, like the picture below.

１３．Fold both corners (up and down), like the picture below.

１４．Fold both sides along the black lines shown in the picture below.

１５． It will be like the picture below.

１６．Fold it in half, like the picture below.

１７．Fold two corners down along the black lines shown in the picture below,

and put them back.  Put those corners that you folded inside.

１８．It will be like the picture below.

１９．And it’s done!

The nail polish can be arranged with masking tape,

which makes it more fashionable.

Why don’t you put your favorite pattern’s masking tape on it?♥

You could also arrange it, by drawing

or putting stickers on it besides masking tape.

You can make lip stick with various colors, by changing the color of origami.

You will probably want lip sticks with various colors. ♪

It will be useful if you put the parts together with glue or tape in the end,

so that it won’t fall apart.

You can make your own mirror, using silver origami,

when you make the origami foundation.

It will be more fashionable if you draw the pattern on the lid or arrange it,

putting some stickers on it!　★
