Origami: How to fold a Reindeer

Hard working reindeer are necessary for Christmas,

since they carry all the Christmas presents for children,

pulling the sled.★

One of the deer family,

reindeer are very cute with their charm point’s being antlers.

How to fold a reindeer   Face and Body Ver.1

1. First, fold it in half.

2. Fold it in half again.  Put it back.

3. Fold it down to the middle crease.

4. Fold both ☆’ parts up.

5. It will be like the picture below.

6. Fold both sides to the middle.

7. Fold both sides to outside, along the dotted lines.

8. Fold both sides to inside, along the dotted lines.

9. Flip it over, and the face is done!

10. Now, we will make the body part.  Fold it in half.

11. Fold it in half again and put it back.

12. Fold only the top sheet down,

so that the tip sticks out a little, like the picture below.

13. Fold both sides to the middle, along the dotted lines.

14.  It will be like the picture below.  Turn it over.

15. Fold it down, along the dotted line.

16. Make a crease and put it back.

17. Fold it down to the crease.

18. Fold it down again, along the crease that you made in No.15.

19. Change the direction and fold it in half, like the picture below.

20. Put the face on the body, and it’s done!

How to fold a reindeer   Face and Body Ver.2

1. Fold it in half.

2. Open it up and fold both sides to the crease that you made.

3. Fold it in half.

4. Change the direction and fold only the top part down,

make a crease and put it back.

5. Fold both corners up to the middle.

6. Fold it along the creases, like the picture below.

7. Fold it down to the opposite side.

8. It will be like the picture below.

9. Fold the top part down, like the picture below.

10. Fold both sides up, along the dotted lines.

11. Fold both bottom corners up to the middle crease.

12. Flip it over, and the face is done!

13. Now, we will make the body part.  Fold it in half.

14. Fold it in half again.

15. Open it up all the way and fold the bottom part up to the middle.

16. Fold it down, along the dotted line.

17. It will be like the picture below.  Turn it over.

18. Fold it down to the middle.

19. Fold it in half.

20. Fold it behind, along the dotted line.

21. It will be like the picture below, and the body is done!

22. Put the face and the body together, and it’s done!

How to fold a reindeer 3   Reindeer’s Face

1. First, fold it in half.

2. Fold it down, along the dotted line.

3. Fold both sides to inside, along the dotted lines.

4. It will be like the picture below.  Put them back.

5. Fold both sides to inside along the dotted lines.

6. It will be like the picture below.

7. Fold both sides to inside along the creases that you made in No.3.

8. Turn it over and fold it so that the white back part can be seen.

9. Fold it behind, along the dotted line.

10. Fold the tip down, along the dotted line.

11. Draw a face, and it’s done!

We make the face and the body separately,

using two sheets of origami paper and put them together at the end.

You can see various expressions on them,

according to the angle you fold.♥

The second reindeer looks real

since the white back part can be seen as its breast fur.

Try many reindeer drawing your original faces.♪
