Origami: How to fold Ittangomen (Youkai Watch)

 “Gomeeen, Gomen, Ittan Gomen♪” ※”Gomen” means “I’m sorry” in Japanese.

Ittangomen’s special feature is to apologize, grinning and singing in a loud voice.

You know, I get irritated if my child imitates this when he apologizes to me… Lol

It might have something to do with Youkai (monster), actually though… LOL

Origami 【Youkai Watch】 How to fold Ittangomen Ver.1

１．Cut it in half.  We will use only one piece.

２．Fold it in half and fold both sides to the middle crease.

３．Fold the top corners down to make two triangles.

４．Turn it over.

５．Fold the part that you folded behind.

６．Open the triangle part and fold it like an upside-down-boat as picture No.7 shows.

７．Fold both corners up.

８．Fold both corners along the dotted lines.

９．Now, fold the bottom corners up to make two triangles.

１０．Fold it so that the folded part will be inside.

１１．Fold the bottom part along the dotted line.

１２．Turn it over.

１３．Put arms and hands made with the other half of origami paper,

draw a face and it’s done!

１．Fold it in half twice to make green dotted creases shown below.

Make two more creases as yellow dotted lines below.

２．Turn it over and cut the arm parts along the red lines.

３．Change the direction.  Fold the arms on one side toward the arrows.

４．Cut it at 1/4 line of paper along the red line.

５．Do the same thing for the other side too.

６．Turn it over.

７．Fold both sides along the dotted lines.

８．Fold both bottom corners along the dotted lines.

９．Fold the corner that is sticking out and hide it inside.

１０．Fold the bottom part up along the dotted line.

１１．Fold it down along the dotted line.

１２．Turn it over.

１３．Fold each arm up along the dotted lines.

１４．Put the horns, draw a face and it’s done!

It will be perfect if you draw a super grinning face!♪
