Origami: How to fold Bushinyan (Youkai Watch)

Once you master how to fold the monster ‘Jibanyan’,

which is a friend of Youkai Watch,

you will be able to fold other cats’ Youkai (monster) easily!★

Let’s fold Bushinyan, which is like a warrior! ♪

１．Fold it in half twice to make two creases along the dotted lines.

２．Fold three corners to the middle.

３．Turn it over.

４．Fold both sides toward the middle along the dotted lines.

５．Turn it over.

６．Fold both corners down along the dotted lines.

７．Fold each corner up as picture No.8 shows.  They will be ears.

８．Fold the part that is sticking out in the middle down, along the dotted line.

９．Turn it over.

１０．Fold the white part twice like a stair case, to make a nose.

１１．Turn it over.

１２．Turn the two parts that will be chins up.

１３．Turn it over.

１４．And the face is done!  Next, we will make a Kabuto (a war helmet).

１５．Get another piece of origami paper ready.  Cut it in half in the middle.

１６．Fold it in half horizontally.

１７．Fold both sides down along the dotted lines.

１８．Put the Kabuto over the face.

１９．Draw a face, put the crescent-shaped paper on the middle and it’s done!

１．Fold it in half twice along the dotted line and make creases.

２．Fold both sides to the middle along the dotted lines.

３．Turn it over and changed the direction to 45 degrees.

４．Fold the bottom corner up to the circle shown in the picture below.

５．Fold the top corner down to the circle shown in the picture below.

６．Turn it over.

７．Next we will make the ears.

８．Get another piece of paper ready and cut it in half.

９．Fold it in half horizontally.

１０．Fold both sides up to the dotted line as picture No.11 shows.

１１．Fold them and adjust them well so that they will look ears.

１２．Put them together.

１３．Cut it along the dotted lines so that more space of the face can be seen.

１４．Draw a face, put the crescent-shaped paper in the middle and it’s done!

To make the Kabuto,

all you have to do is to fold them as each procedure.  It’s easy, isn’t it?

Put the Kabuto and a bigger-size crescent on the face,

and you will see a cool-looking Bushinyan!
