Origami: How to fold a gift box

Would you like to make your original gift box with origami paper or writing pad?★

Everybody is going to love your gift with the original gift box,

even with a little message for a celebration or any other occasions!❤

Since it’s so easy to make,

why don’t you make with different sizes of origami paper or even other colorful paper.
 

How to fold a gift box  ver. 1

１．Fold the origami or squared-writing pad in half to make a rectangle.

Put the masking tape on top of one another, like the picture below.

２．Fold the tape sticking out of the paper to the back side, like the picture below.

３．Fold two sides to the back so that the paper becomes three equal parts.

４．Turn it over and fold both sides

and insert one side to the one whose base has masking tape.

５．Put two pieces of masking tape together, exactly as in the photo,

one side cannot be together ~ like in the picture.

６．Put the gift box between the open edge in No.5, like the picture below.

７．Cut the middle part of the tape, like the picture below.

８．Tie the two pieces of tape up.

９．Cut the tape wherever you like, and it’s done!

How to fold a gift box  ver. 2

１．Fold two sides toward the middle. (Each part should be 1/5 size of this paper)

２．Fold both sides toward the center and make another two creases,

like winding up the paper.

３．It will be like the picture below.

４．Open it up all the way.

５．Change the direction and again, fold two sides toward the middle.

(Each part should be 1/5 size of this paper)

６．Fold both sides toward the center and make another two creases,

like winding up the paper.  It will be like the picture below.

７．Put the paper back to No. 5 and fold one side up, like the picture below.

８．Put it back and do the same thing for the other side too, like the picture below.

９．If you see the two creases shown in the picture below, it’s ok.

１０．Fold all the creases that you made to make a box.

１１． Insert the lid part to the slit, like the picture below.

１２．Adjust the shape of the box.

１３．Put the masking tape to cross one another, like the picture below,

and it’s done!

How to fold a gift box  ver. 3

１．First, hold it in half.

２．Fold it in half again, to make a square.

３．Open it up all the way,

and fold four corners inside along the creases that you made in No.1

and No.2, like the picture below.

４．Fold along two black lines so that the paper becomes three equal parts.

５．Then make the two creases.

６．Open it up and change the direction.

And again, fold along two black lines so that the paper becomes three equal parts.

７．Then make the two creases, again.

８．Open it up all the way.

９．Fold all the creases you made, putting each part with the glue, to make a box.

１０．Fold it along the creases and make a box.

１１．Use glue so that it will stay affixed.

１２．If you can fold like the picture below, it’s ok.

１３．You will see the lid, like the picture below.

１４． Insert the lid into the slit, and it’s done!

If you fold this with regular sized (origami) paper, it will be a little small,

so I recommend that you should fold it with a bigger piece.★

I bet anybody who gets a gift with your original box, will feel so good!

If you arrange it with a variety of masking tape or colorful paper,

you can have more fashionable and cool gift boxes too. ♪
