Origami: How to fold a Pig and a Wild Boar

We often see pigs in some places like zoos,

but they are a little scary, aren’t they?

I’m not a fan of them.

But if we make them with origami paper, they’ll be cute.♥

Isn’t it weird?

Let’s make a cute pig!

You have to think about which color of the paper you’re going to use too!

How to fold a Pig 1   A Kiddy Pig

１．Fold it in half and make a crease along the red line.

Fold both sides to the middle along the dotted lines.

２．Fold it in half and make a crease.

Fold both sides to the middle along the dotted lines.

３． Fold and make two creases diagonally.

４．Open it up and fold it so as to meet 〇 and 〇, as picture No.5 shows.

Do the same thing for the other three parts too.

５．Fold it in half to the back.

６．Fold each part toward the arrows.

７．Fold the left tip inside to make a head.

Fold the right tip and make creases along the dotted lines,

and open it and push them to make a tail.

They will be like picture No. 8.

８．And it’s done!

How to fold a Pig 2   A Face of A Pig

１．Fold it in half twice to make two creases.

Fold both sides to the crease along the dotted lines.

２．Fold it in half toward the arrow.

３．Fold the tip up along the dotted line.

４．Fold only the top sheet down along the red line.

５．Fold both corners down along the dotted lines.

６．And it’s done!

How to fold a Pig 3   A Wild Boar

１．Fold it in half twice to make two creases.

Fold both sides toward the arrows along the dotted lines.

２．Fold and make creases along the dotted lines.

３．Open the bag parts and fold them as picture No.4 shows.

４．Fold them toward the arrows along the dotted lines.

５．Fold them toward the arrows along the dotted lines.

６．Fold it in half.

７．Fold the right corner down and fold it inside as picture No.8 shows.

８．And it’s done!

Even though it might feel complicated to fold in the procedure, it’s easy.

 You can draw their faces however you like!

If you use different sizes of origami paper,

you can make a parent-and-kid pig too!
