Origami: How to fold a Mouse

How to fold a mouse Ver.1

This is how to make mouse’s face.

It’s long lengthways and round eyes are characteristic.★

1. Fold it in half twice and make two creases along the dotted lines.

2. Fold the bottom corner up along the dotted line.

3. Fold it in half along the dotted line again.

4. Turn it over.

5. Fold both corners to the crease.

6. Turn it over again and…

7. fold the bottom corner up along the dotted line.

8. Turn it over and…

9. Fold both triangle parts up along the dotted lines.

10. The ears are done!  Turn it over.

11. Fold both ears down and insert them into the slit.

12. Fold both corners toward the middle.

13. Turning it over and….

14. draw a face.  And it’s done!

It became a cute mouse just like the one that appears

in a picture book or anime.

If you use a smaller sized origami paper, it will be cuter!♪

How to fold a mouse Ver.2

This one is both for a face and a body with one sheet of origami paper.

You can make such a cute mouse!♥

1. Fold it in half.

2. Open it up and fold both sides to the crease.

3. Fold both sides to the middle along the dotted lines.

4. Fold it in half and make a crease.

5. Open the part that the arrows are pointing at

and fold it along the creases that you made in No.3 and 4.

6. Fold them behind along the dotted lines.

7. Fold it behind along the dotted line.

8. Fold them behind along the dotted lines.

9. Fold it in half (a mountain fold) and…

10. Fold it along the dotted line. (a valley fold)

11. Fold it the same way for the other side too.  They will be ears.

12. Open the bag part from the place that arrow is pointing at and fold it.

13. Fold it and make a crease along the dotted line.

14. Put the part inside along the crease that you made in No.13.

15. Fold it and make a crease along the dotted line.

Put the part inside and fold it up.

16.Fold the tail part in half along the dotted line.

17. Draw a face and…

18. it’s done!

It is so stable that it can also stand up for its own.
