Origami: How to fold a Mole

Moles live underground digging tunnels.

We rarely see them, don’t we?

I’ve heard their front nails are very sharp so that

they can dig dirt and live comfortably in the dirt.

If you find the dirt rising from the ground in the forest,

it might be a trace that a mole passed.

Today, I’ll show you two types of origami moles.

How to fold a Mole Ver.1

This one is easy to fold.

The creases that you make don’t have to be precise.

Just check the balance when you fold the creases.

1. Fold it along the dotted line.

2. Fold it along the dotted line again.

3. Fold it up along the dotted line.

4. Fold it down along the dotted line.  They will be front legs.

5. Fold the corner along the dotted lines like a staircase.

They will be hind legs.

You can also draw eyes or whiskers to make it more like a real mole!

This sharp nose and short legs express just like a mole, right?

How to fold a Mole Ver.2

This one has more procedures than Ver.1 but it’s not hard to fold at all.

It will be a little small and cute mole!

1. Fold it in half and make a crease.

Here is a roly-poly mole with a short trunk.

We can make it stand up too!

Somehow we grow fond of moles when we fold them with origami paper like this,

even though we rare see them in our daily lives, right?
