Origami: How to fold a Dinosaur

I bet all the boys will get excited about this,

since a dinosaur is so popular among them

and it’s also easy to fold with origami paper.★

Every dinosaur is so cool!
 

Boys will play war with origami dinosaurs,

if they fold many kinds of them.

How to fold a Dinosaur   ver1

１．First, we will make the head part.  Fold it in half.

２．Fold it in half again.

３．Fold both layers to the crease, like the picture below.

４．Fold one layer toward the left side,

along the black line shown in the picture below.

５．Put it back.

６．Fold the same part to the crease that you made in No. 4, like the picture below.

７．Fold the same way for the other side too.  And the head part is done!

８．Next, we will make a tail.  Fold the same way as the head part until No. 5.

９．Fold the same way for the other side too.

１０．Fold it to the crease, and fold the same way for the other side too.

The tail part is done!

１１．Next, we will make a body part.  Fold it in half.

１２．Fold it in half again.

１３．Open the back part and fold it to make a triangle, like the picture below.

１４．Do the same thing for the other side too.  And the body part is done!

１５．Put three parts together, like the picture below.

１６．Fold the left side toward the inside along the black line shown

in the picture below.

１７．Fold the tip part toward the inside along the black line shown

in the picture below again.

１８．Fold the tip part with a red circle shown in the picture below toward the inside.

１９．It will be like the picture below.

２０． It’s done!

How to fold a Dinosaur 2    Plesiosaur

１．First, fold it in half.

２．Open it up and fold both sides to the crease.

３．Fold the other sides to the crease too, like the picture below.

４．Open the back part and fold it like the picture below.

５．Fold the same way for the other side.

６．Fold it in half, like the picture below.

７．Fold it to the crease, like the picture below.

８．Fold the left part toward the inside along the black line shown

in the picture below.

９．Fold it inside along the black line shown in the picture below.

Fold the same way for the other side too.

１０．It will be like the picture below.

１１．Fold the top part, like the picture below.

１２．Fold the tail part along the black lines shown in the picture below,

like a staircase.

１３．It will be like the picture below.  And it’s done!

How to fold a Dinosaur 3    Brachiosaurus

１．First, fold it in half.

２．Open it up and fold both sides to the crease.

３．Fold it in half.

４．Change the direction

and fold it toward the inside along the black line shown in the picture below.

５．It will be like the picture below.

６．Fold the tip part toward the inside, like the picture below.

７．Fold the pointed part of the tip toward the inside, like the picture below.

８． Fold it along the black lines shown in the picture below like a staircase.

９．It will be like the picture below.

１０．Cut along the black line with scissors.

１１．Fold it inside, like the picture below.

１２．Fold it along the black line with scissors.

１３．It will be like the picture below.  And it’s done!

You have to fold three parts (body, head and tail) individually

and put them together for the first dinosaur.

I recommend that you should use different colors of origami paper

for the body than the head and tail so that it will be more characteristic. ♪

You can make legs of the Brachiosaurus by cutting the part.

Why don’t you arrange them freely for any kinds of dinosaurs

by drawing some patterns?
